Thank you to the youth who joined the 2024 Youth Academy. They had an enriching experience with law enforcement, learning about various aspects of our work, including time with our dispatchers, animal control, SWAT, Drone Team, Crime Scene Unit, and Municipal Court.

**Update to media release from 12/31/2024** On January 10th, 2025, Hutchinson Police Department arrested Zayne M. Bruce, 19-year-old from Hutchinson, for Armed Robbery and Theft. Also arrested was Kaidyn Emmerich, 17-year-old male from Hutchinson, for Armed Robbery and Theft.

The streets are extremely slick today with the snow, and visibility is limited. Please be mindful of your speed, and be aware of your surroundings, should you need to drive.

Today, Officer Orrison and Officer Jackson graduated from KLETC, Class 337. Congratulations to these officers! They will start their field training in a couple weeks. Chief Burlie also had the honor of being the commencement speaker for the ceremony.

Click It or Ticket May 18- June 1, 2025 During Click It or Ticket, drivers will be met with extra enforcement by our agency looking for unrestrained drivers, passengers, and children traveling our roads as well as enforcing and educating all other traffic laws.

For National Police Week this year, the Hutchinson Police Department Motor Unit had the honor of escorting the families of fallen officers to various events in the Metropolitan Washington D.C. area.
