I wouldn't be doing it for a few weeks, but should I do another #ChronicLife challenge, in which I tweet every time my health impacts my day? (Challenge created by the wonderful Britt Johnson aka Hurt Blogger)

If only there was an ER that would come to my bed and treat me... because I’ll be damned if I’m getting outta my bed. Also, asking for a friend... how many days is too many days of toughing out the ER?

Britt Johnson aka Hurt Blogger (@hurtblogger) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Hello all 🤗 I’m doing better today. I’ve slept most of today. The ER looked up my OHSU rheum chart before entering my room, so they had my latest notes from my team 🙏🏼. They effectively treated my pain to stop the bad cycle I was in & talked to my rheumy to continue her plan🙏🏼

It’s only Monday and already I’ve given an impassioned speech with tears streaming down my face to a judgemental doctor. Let’s just say he is not up to the task of managing my care.

There's a vibrant #chronicillness community waiting for you on Instagram. Here are some accounts you should follow (it was so hard to choose just 12) My new article for HealthCentral bit.ly/2VGZqw8 Caleigh Sarah Haber Britt Johnson aka Hurt Blogger @chronicbabe Julie Croner EatYourKimchi

Update: I did not leave a message for Massage Envy & told them I’d be unable to talk last night as I was at the hospital all evening. They called while I was there even though I DID NOT leave my name or number. Not cool. Today “no managers are in.” Isn’t that convenient?!

multicenter, cross-sectional study of 1526 adult Behcets patients from Egyptian rheumatology centers shows CNS, DVT, and GI tract involvement is higher in males, while the joint dz and disease activity were increased in females. buff.ly/2WrPZ49

For profit ‘pain blog’ asked for “my opinion in major mistakes in managing #chronicpain.” This constitutes WORK for me & clinic was “less interested in compensation as it is for readers.” Went on to imply that because I’m a ‘reader’ too asking for fair $=wrong. #DisabilityRights

Holy crap... NO. THANK YOU! He’s not much of a straw user anyways, but you may have just saved us from a hospital trip, seizures, and unnecessary medical bills and toll on his health. 🙏🏼 #Celiac #CeliacDisease #Straws

I am the kindest, most giving person to work with and usually (okay always) have undercut myself in compensation in every profession. Big fault of mine. But I am tired of healthcare professionals attempting to take advantage of patients with flattery. Times HAVE changed. Adapt.
