In the midst of the harvest, Nyetimber have invited us to join them for their annual harvest luncheon. The highlight thus far has been to see, touch and taste the original 1988 planting of Chardonnay. Our hearts well and truly belong to Nyetimber. Cheers 🥂

A guest told us the other day that they love the way we change with the seasons. The seasons inspire us to make the best of produce at its peak. Take this acorn squash. It has mellow, sweet but firm flesh that reflects the season. A lovely side to accompany many of our dishes.

A ‘reminder’ tasting session. This 2016 Claret is from LE DÔME by JCP Maltus and is rich with terrific blackberry, roast plum & vanilla. There’s a hint of liquorice and some savoury development too. It is made at their Grand Cru vineyard just across the river. RIDICULOUSLY good value 👌
