I love this, and embodies what I endeavour to emulate every day. Being a surgeon is a gift and a privilege. Being human brings humility and vulnerability to me as a surgeon. Be divergent from stereotypes, but do not let peoples preconceptions stop you. Be yourself.

Was a really great meeting and a chance to see former mentors and colleagues.

It is through some tears that I write this. Dr Robin McLeod, a legend of surgery, passed away today too soon. Dr McLeod was a pioneer in evidence based surgery. Her contribution to research, edu and clin care are peerless among 🇨🇦 surgeons and we are diminished by her loss.
