The first week of school is done at The Atascocita HS! Our first meeting of the school year will be held on Tuesday, August 16th, 3-4 PM in the AHS Library. We’ll be discussing general information, introducing our officers, and planning for Hispanic Heritage Month. See you there!

Happy #WorldMentalHealthDay2022! Humble ISD D.O.N promotes strong mental health year long, from teacher-student panels, where we discuss how teachers can support students mental health (and vice versa), to our events in the winter during SAD months. Be kind to yourself today!

Today The Atascocita HS students & staff celebrated #DiaDeLosMuertos by creating an ofrenda to honor our lost loved ones. Staff shared pictures for the ofrenda and students “lit candles” and colored sugar skulls. Diversify Our Narrative Humble ISD

Yesterday Diversify Our Narrative Humble ISD and AHS Counselors paired up to talk about the importance of taking care of your mental health during this time of year. The Atascocita HS

[PC-5] Junior @ AHS. Shocked to see banned books in library. Says she found comfort in books with representations similar to her. Says books that are part of English curriculum are more offensive than the books that are banned.

Today our Diversify Our Narrative Humble ISD officers spoke at the school board meeting to share their concerns about restricting access to books in Humble ISD. When I was their age, I never would have dreamed of using my voice that way. Proud is an understatement. 🖤💚
