Can we stop calling National Museum Wales ‘an attraction’. We are not at risk of losing a theme park here. We are at risk of losing an institution that offers free education to millions of people and showcases Welsh culture and the National Treasures of Wales to the world.

150 years ago today, Impressionism was born when 31 rule-breaking artists inc. Monet and Cezanne staged their own exhibition in Paris.
One such 'impressionist' work was Renoir's 'La Parisienne' (1874), which now lives in Wales in the collection of National Museum Cardiff.
