Thanks to the work of House Democrats, we’ve passed commonsense laws to require anyone selling firearms to run a federal background check.
It gets us that much closer to ending the scourge of gun violence in our communities.

The tragic shooting in Parkland, FL took the lives of 17 innocent children. Six years later, we continue to push for universal background checks and an assault weapons ban to save lives. I will continue to work with my Gun Violence Prevention Task Force colleagues to make our communities safer.
