I asked my Uber driver this morning about his favorite teachers as a kid. As he was describing the passion of two particular teachers, he said: “They weren’t at work cause they loved what they were doing.” I know it’s a job... but remember... the kids always notice our joy.

Great leaders..... -Small ego, big mission. -We before me. -A lot of love and accountability. -A lot of grace and truth. -Demanding but not demeaning. -Loving but not enabling. -Shout praise. Whisper criticism. -High standards, low tolerance for excuses.

Ever since I created my SOL song reviews I’m constantly listening for new songs to include in the next review. My PIC just told me that she misses when we could just listen to the radio like “normal.” And w/ that being said...SC Secedes = Can’t Hold Us by Macklemore 😂😂😂

I found it weird that a kid who could be serving our country within the next year had to raise their hand to talk or go to the bathroom, so I axed that rule. Have input? Say it. Gotta go? Get up & go. Can’t tell HS kids to “act like adults” and then treat them like they’re 5. 🤷🏽‍♂️

This week I accepted a position as Assistant Director of Student Activities at Edison HS in Fairfax. It has been a great run as a coach at Stafford and Brooke Point. To all of my former players, managers, and coaches thank you for everything! We’ll always be family!
