This is why context is important. Washington was described as “dark” or “black” due to him being tanned, unlike the paler White skin tones. Mainly due to him being outdoors more than his contemporaries. They’re not describing his racial makeup. George Washington was not Black.

The logic is, George Washington was actually a Black man. He was then elected President after serving as General. Despite all this notoriety, all the artists decided to depict him as a White man in a global cover up until a random TikToker was able to crack the case.

Exactly. It’s describing complexion, not race. A mulatto would only be considered “dark” in relation to White skin. In relation to Black skin it would be considered “light”. Do y’all truly not understand historical and rhetorical context?

Well, not exactly. You see, White people didn’t exist in America back then. Everyone was either indigenous or African brought over by Black Europeans. This is a more historically accurate depiction of George Washington.

The further back you go in history, the more you’ll see unprecedented levels of unity and group economics. Black American Mutual Aid Societies would provide FREE medical and surgical care for its members. 📰 1899. #HotepHistories

This article is absolutely FRYING Dubois for disrespecting Booker T. Washington right after he died. This is how I know Dubois was insanely jealous of BTW and a dweeb of the highest order. 3 different periodicals banded together to rightfully cook him. đź“° 1915. #HotepHistories

If most of what you’ve been taught about Black History is the oppression your ancestors faced, understand you were taught by your ancestors enemies. It’s different over here. We don’t take pride in being oppressed victims, we take pride in winning in spite of. #HotepHistories

I truly believe Black American Communists believe in and push Communism simply to be contrarian. Past and present. They’re “Anti-American”, so that must mean you have to be “Anti-Capitalist”. Vapid attempts at being edgy and rebellious while never wanting to leave here.

One of my favorite parts about reading history is their grasp on the English language. Some of THE MOST illustrious literary works you’ll ever read. Literal beauty in the written word. To go from that to 85% of our babies not reading at grade level shows how far we’ve fallen.

I was today years old when I found out that the word “pugilism” was a fancy term for “boxing”. A boxer was called a pugilist.
