Horsham Neighbourhood Policing and Partnership Community Event - Billingshurst

Join us at the Billingshurst Centre for a fun and informative afternoon at our roadshow!

On Saturday 27th April 2024 between 2pm and 4pm at The Billingshurst Centre, Roman Way, Billingshurst!

Officers took a trip down to #Steyning this week to meet with the community wardens and local residents and visited the Board Game Café, which is open to the community.

The café is open every 2nd Tuesday of the month!

Due to the recently reported thefts from garden centres across the Horsham districts, officers have been visiting centres in a bid to reduce crime and to provide support.

PC Taylor and PC Adams spoke to staff to understand the issues they were experiencing.

We'll shortly be in Sainsbury's, High Street, Billingshurst from 1pm to 4pm, where you can have a chat with local officers.

There will be crime prevention and safeguarding advice along with signposting to support services.

Officers were out in Jengers Mead on Monday, to provide a visible presence and engage with members from the local community.

They were joined by the Billingshurst Neighbourhood Warden and appreciated the support and visits by residents and shoppers.

The Salvation Army has reported that they have been experiencing high levels of theft from their charity clothing banks in Broadbridge Heath and Pulborough areas.

Please report anyone attempting to empty the banks who are not driving a liveried vehicle or carrying ID.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to stop and have a chat with officers in Jengers Mead this morning.

Our younger members of the community loved having a look around the police car and getting to have their photos taken with the officers.

We have received a number of reports about vehicle crime in #Adur and #Worthing , where vans are being targeted and tools are being stolen. We are investigating these thefts, but we are advising remove tools from their vehicles overnight.

PC Ashby and Horsham PCSO’s attended Pulborough Garden Centre last week, following reports of shoplifting from local garden centres.

Police are working closely with local garden centres in the Horsham area to try and reduce these incidents.

PCSO Fontyn for #Billingshurst visited Sainsburys today, to have a chat with staff about antisocial behaviour and shoplifting.

Patrols are being conducted regularly at all times of the day.
