Simon arrived at the sanctuary back in 2021 after his mum rejected him at just one day old, and his twin died. He’s been stealing staff & visitor hearts ever since. This sheep certainly knows how to turn on the charm, and does love a fuss from anyone who gives it to him.

MISTY UPDATE: This sweet girl, who was abandoned at a local #rabbit breeders, has been with us for just over a month now. She was terrified when she arrived so we’ve been helping her to decompress in her own enclosure and she’s slowly starting to realise that she’s now safe. 🐇

Yoshi the Tanuki just heard that our first Exotic Animal Welfare Weekend of 2024 is happening on 4th and 5th May! We can only have these animals on public display six days a year, so save the date, get your early bird tickets booked and make a day of it!

RIP Blaze 🌈 Our lovely Blaze had been deteriorating rapidly recently due to his old age, and after four visits from our vets the sad decision was made to let him go peacefully and surrounded by people who loved him. We’ll miss you funny, adorable, cheeky Blaze! 🌈

We have started to restock our plant and plant holder selection here at the sanctuary, all of which are on sale for our visitors to purchase. All profits raised are used to care for our rescued residents, and every penny helps!

This young man was found having a snooze in someone's garden in Chelmsford this week, so we're looking for his owners. In the meantime we've named him Trevor and he is getting lots of love from the office staff.

Pongo does love a cuddle! He is one of five skunks that have ended up here via the #exoticpettrade due to their needs not being able to be met as pets. If you're thinking of getting a pet, #AdoptDontShop and please get an animal that is already deemed domesticated.

Little Jimbo has had his fair share of 💔 in his life, including losing his marmoset family because of fireworks being set off next to the sanctuary 6 months ago. He now has 4 new marmoset friends and despite looking grumpy, he is quite the sweetheart!
