Rangers win today at the Rich Herrin Classic 70-41 over Sparta. In the win, Docker Tedeschi scored his 1,500th point. He becomes only the 5th Ranger in history to reach the milestone. Rangers improve to 23-2. Play Tuesday at home vs. Nashville.

Illinois Basketball Fact: IBCA HOF Coach Rich Herrin had so many great teams and players at Benton High School. In reading Matt Wynn's book on Coach Rich Herrin, I read this gem. In 1969, Steve Stewart became the 1st freshmen to play on the varsity for Benton under Rich Herrin.
