I'm not sure who dropped the ball but with all this talent between section 5 & 6, it's a shame that there are so many girls who aren't taking advantage of this upcoming scholastic live period. NYSPHSAA not sure what needs to happen for next year but I hope it gets better.

Curious, if a player has a D-1 offer do D-2 and D-3 schools usually keep their distance? I can understand them watching from the sideline but to offer a kid who has a D-1 that seems odd.

Happy July. I wonder how many Section 5 and 6 girls are going to the NCAA Basketball Academy that is held as the same time as BCANY? Wish the timing could have been different to allow more talent to stay local and represent their region.

There were some impressive tournaments over the past several days.Tons of talent and coaches in the gyms. However I'm confused why some tournaments started a day before and are going a day past the live period. That doesn't make sense.Especially playing for chips with no coaches.

If you go on to play college basketball at any level you are special. Only roughly 4% of those who play high school basketball go on to play in college at the D1 - D3 level. That is .5 out of every roster of 12. Let that sink in.

That's a fully loaded roster. Interested to see how this team does against the other teams in the region. I think I'll nickname the squad O'Hara & Friends. buffalonews.com/sports/high-sc…

Another slap in the face for student athletes. I know a local team recently declined to play but that was the first time I heard that happened. This is a big blow for athletes across the state. Was 1 more tournament really that hard to figure out?

Why does Section V have a very handy centralized, all sport schedule repository but Section VI has nothing of the sort? Nearly 75% of sect V bball schedules are available....for Section VI I have less than 5 total.
