Yesterday was an incredible day at Regionals! Our girls placed 4th as a team, securing their spot at Sectionals! Simpson led the way, placing 3rd! She was so close to her course PR, and every other runner on the team hit a course PR—no small feat on the challenging Kieselburg!

📸 Season Finale Highlight 📸 Kylie Simpson finished her season with a bang this past weekend!💥 Running an incredible 17:34 and securing an impressive 30th place finish! 🏅 The best part? She’s only a junior! We know she’ll be coming back hungry for more next year!

Our team competed yesterday at Huntley for their first indoor meet of the season, and it was a great performance overall! We had 13 PRs—fantastic way to start the season! Varsity finished 13th overall, proud of the effort! 💪

Honored to be named to the All-Area team for the second year in a row amongst these other amazing players!

What a weekend!! 🏆 Both the girls and boys teams are NIC-10 indoor champs!! 🥇 We had several PRs and SRs shattered! Incredible performances all around! So proud of this entire group! 💥

Hononegah junior Kylie Simpson has owned the 800m. run this season. She won big by more than six seconds tonight at the 3A Huntley Sectional (2:15.98) to advance to State next week. Great job Kylie!

Hononegah's Landon Samuelson refused to get beat in the 3200m tonight at the Huntley 3A Sectional, gutting it out with a burst at the end to win by .03 seconds with a time of 9:22.02. Hononegah

Hononegah was well represented at the IHSA State Meet! Schleis closed out her senior season with a strong effort in LJ, Dimke soared to 3rd in HJ—earning All-State honors and tying her PR, and Simpson raced to 7th in the 800 with a huge PR and All-State finish! So proud! 💪

Our girls showed up and showed out this past Friday at Lakes! 💪🔥 So many season bests and HUGE personal records — the hard work is truly paying off. We couldn’t be prouder of the effort, energy, and heart every runner brought to the course. 💜💛

A special shoutout to Kylie Simpson, who set a new school record with an incredible time of 17:04, making her the fastest girl in Hononegah Cross Country history! 👏
