KS2 moderator training yesterday was brilliant. First in person training since the start of the pandemic and it’s amazing how much better it felt to be in a conference room rather than in front of a laptop!

Decided to spend the first few days of the break sorting and reorganising parts of the house. My kitchen is now full of stuff that o can’t do any more with until our new storage unit is delivered this afternoon and I now regret my choices

Feeling a tad overwhelmed at the moment. O due to call, a reading curriculum to overhaul, SATs, ongoing general school issues. It’s all a bit much isn’t it!

The cold that I was fighting all of last week has finally hit me full force. Let’s hope it goes away quickly. I don’t want to be ill all of half term!

For those who are seeing great results and feeling a bit down about it… Our highest in a subject was 54% Our combined is significantly lower. We are a 2 form entry school. We did our best. The children did their best. That’s all we could ask.

We got the call. On what will be the hottest day of the year. Yep. Sounds about right.

We are off to New York soon. We’ve got lots of the obvious planned. Any suggestions of hidden gems that we could add to the list?

Just me concerned by how many of their personal details are being text to them by the NEU? In the last week they have text me my name, full address and the name of the school I work at. I can’t see why it’s necessary

Didn’t anticipate how weird I’d feel this morning. Everyone is back to work and I’m sat here with a cup of tea, patiently waiting for baby to arrive. It’s a weird no man’s land. At least I have these two to keep me company…
