I had the honour of leading the Somali delegation in a productive meeting with the ILO Director-General Gilbert F. Houngbo, on the margins of the International Labour Conference. We agreed on concrete steps to deepen cooperation and strengthen Somalia’s labour sector.

Today, I met with Ms. Kirsten Young from UNTMIS to discuss strengthening our collaboration on human rights, social protection, workplace safety, and ending child labour in #Somalia. We agreed to establish a joint technical committee to drive these important efforts forward.
