Residents of Bula Hodhan, Garissa county are thrilled to receive a rehabilitated borehole from Save the Children Kenya & Madagascar & Garissa County Gvt., with support from USAID's Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance The water is a relief to the community which has been affected greatly by the biting drought.

Due to ongoing drought across ASAL, Garissa is now home to several IDPs from ASAL counties. I request William Samoei Ruto, PhD to come to Garissa to be fully informed of the situation. I also request to re-allocate development monies earmarked for the region to drought mitigation measures.
