Delighted to have a team at Top of the Bench competition, west of Scotland regional heat Royal Society of Chemistry 19 schools took on quizzes based on S2,S3 and Nat 5 chemistry in S2/3 and S3/4 teams. They then chatted to Strathclyde uni researchers about their paths into chemistry #STEM

Some of our S2 pupils were taking part in the Chemistry at Work event hosted by RoySocChem Scottish Education at University of Glasgow Chemistry. They had four lab challenges to complete and then an element emoji quiz. All Holyrood Secondary pupils had a great time and loved seeing the University lab🧪

What a fantastic week School of Chemistry, University of Glasgow Connolly Lab for the start of Advanced Higher Chemistry practicals. We welcomed 170 young chemists from schools across Glasgow. All made the most of the university lab experience and I can’t wait to see them develop in the next three weeks #STEM
