1/ Did you know that Canada's scholarships for master's and PhD students haven't increased since 2003? Join #WesternU students this Monday as we protest for increased federal research funding. We will meet in front of the University Community Centre (UCC) at 1:00 pm.

Science and research are fundamental building blocks of Canada. They require attention, nurture and support for a better future, environment and quality of life for all. Grad students and postdocs are the future of research, and they need our support. nature.com/articles/d4158…

Despite a VERY supportive supervisor and lab who somehow don't get tired of my venting, nothing feels back-to-normal as a PhD disrupted by the pandemic. For ~2yrs of no data collection, I had too much completed to totally pivot, but not enough to finish. We are still drowning.

To many Canadians, this might seem as trivial as a poorly drawn map. To Labradorians and Newfoundlanders, it's the most recent insult in Canada's long history of undermining our sovereignty. Fix your map, Yves. CBC News CBC Newfoundland and Labrador

You've heard of Matlab functions, but do you use dysfunctions? I wrote a clever one that aggregates subjects' EEG data into one group structure, and deletes that structure on each new subject loop. Only takes ~2 hours to run. #AcademicTwitter
