We are seeing more women join the Hoboken Fire Dept Department, and we celebrate them today - and every day.

Two of our newest firefighters are Nicole Barron and Kaylee Olivieri, sworn-in in October.

Last night the City of Hoboken City Council approved, by a vote of 9-0, to increase the Table of Organization for Hoboken Fire Dept by 8 fire fighters, opening the door for us to hire 12 fire fighters this summer, and bringing the staffing to a Capt & 3 FFs on every rig. This is a huge

A plan to expand the dept by 8 more firefighters was approved by Council last night.
W/ retirements a total of 12 will be hired this summer allowing for 4 members on every engine. Makes it even safer for residents & firefighters.
