Rosie the Resistance Bird may have figured out that I love her. This weekend has been amazing. She seems to have figured out that I'm ok.

Didn't quite get Rosie onto my hand or finger this time. When I gave up and let her play with this much loved toy, she was cute regardless. Truly a Resistance Bird.

I was playing around with my phone, and ended up with this. ❤️ I figured the Newbie (and Rosie) Nation would appreciate it!

Rosie the Peep update She was in the hospital Thursday PM. She was panting--which she does when she's scared--but wasn't stopping A zillion tests later, we still don't know what's wrong But she's home & eating & pooping & I'm watching her like a hawk Except...not like a hawk.

Rosie the Peep seems to be feeling better! She got her last antibiotics injection on Friday. And a slight decline in her millet supply seems to have gotten her to lose a little weight. A less pudgy budgie!

Rosie doesn't quite oodle. She makes an oodle-like noise. Which I make back at her -- very awkwardly. She's now learned my Bad Oodle and offers it to me in exchange for mine. I taught her to Bad Oodle.

Rosie the Peep didn't complain when I left for work this AM. She's figured out that I always come back.

I call her Rosie the Peep because it sounds like a mafia name. And she's a tough Street Bird.

I worry about her when it gets cold -- but I would hate to take her out of the open. But I worry about her -- and would take her! Conflicted birb feelings.

I love Rosie the Peep. And...I still miss Newbie.

Rosie the Peep gave me a good oodally ooooooh tonight. So we are both happy.

I just had an important Zoom meeting -- and Rosie oodalled throughout. A Rosie the Peep update.

I forgot to say this here: The Central Park budgie was caught, is being brought to an avian vet, and will be taken to an exotic bird sanctuary where she can fly free with other birds. Apparently, while she's in quarantine, she's talking to sparrows. Her peeps.

Hello peeps! Tonight I gave Rosie her favorite toy. I'm supposed to keep metal away from her, generally. So no bell on this toy. After I removed the bell (and cut myself; TETANUS!), she got the toy. Just thought your timeline could use some happy birb-ness.

Some news for the Newbie / Rosie nation: We may have found her Poppins. Got home. Made dinner. Turned on the TV. The Sound of Music happened to be on. The Lonely Goatherd. Guess who got all chirpy and happy?
