Worked great for me! The problem is that it takes attention, and most people are busy and distracted. That's why you should use Zepbound or something like that.

Even now, in the middle of by far the worst moment since 1948, there are Palestinians and Israelis working to forge a future together. Because there's no other future. Any word or action that helps these people move forward is good. Anything that makes their work harder is bad.

I can't believe it's been 17 months since we did this. 17 months of hell. But every word still stands. ted.com/talks/ali_abu_…

I wish there were more understanding about the difference between *ideology* and *partisanship*. I respect people who are consistent socialists, libertarians, liberals, or almost anything, but it's super mid when people make it their mission to root for Democrats, Trump, etc.

I like to think I'm team policy, not team partisan, although I'm sure there's a bit of delusion there. I know I get in LOTS of fights with progressives because I won't go along with whatever the Democrats are currently pushing, even though I almost always vote Democrat.

In free-speech societies there’s nothing that “must be said.” As soon as an idea becomes mandatory (e.g. “diversity statements”), it’s wrong.

From Ursula LeGuin's "The Dispossessed," a great book. It may seem a bit overdramatic, but society does not like independent thinkers. MAGA, woke, they all have that in common.

No one is covering it because a monthly surplus is meaningless when you're running a trillion-dollar-plus annual deficit. It's solely a function of randomness in the way revenue comes in and checks go out.

Fukuyama's basic point was that liberal democratic capitalism was the apex of humanity's ideological evolution. That there's no advancing beyond liberalism in terms of freedom as demonstrated by Marxism's failure. Not that bad stuff won't happen or liberalism won't be challenged

I certainly don't mind clearing out excess bureaucracy, but let's not sugarcoat what this is: a political purge based on slobbering conspiracy theories and intended to fill civil service post with Trump cultists.

All the men are missing, because they're dead. Terrible tragedy. Is the answer supposed to be like "Mexicans" or something, though.
