Very happy to have signed a contract with Cambridge University Press for Spinning the World: The Public Relations Industry and American Foreign Relations. Thank you to Cecelia Cancellaro and some very careful manuscript reviewers (even reviewer #2). Hopefully out Summer 2025.

RIP Donald Sutherland, whose superb performance as Mr X in JFK is how I introduce students to the debate over what Kennedy might have done in Vietnam. Just one of many outstanding performances in a glittering career

Congratulations to all of our graduates, especially my special subject group. After a full year of listening to me go on about FDR, somehow they still wanted a picture together. Just a shame we couldn't get everyone.

Look forward to finding time to read this, which also appears to be available as a free download on Cornell University Press 's webpage. I never met LaFeber, sadly. Many great monographs but The American Age was my go-to as an undergrad and beyond (the cracked spine tells its own story).
