#HistFicXmas day2. Currently working on book 9 of the #PeninsularWarSaga. Set during 1813 when Wellington's army is poised to invade France. Good for Major-General van Daan but not for Colonel Bonnet on the other side of that border. There are also, of course, puppies.

Would 'Napoleon' would have been better if it had had more about Josephine in it? You should be reading 'Burke and the Pimpernel Affair', where the Empress has a starring role. (The real Burke probably met Josephine but not quite as he does in the novel.) Mybook.to/Pimpernel

#histficxmas day 6 is a simple question. Am I a winter or summer person? Definitely prefer summer. I don't mind the winter weather so much but the constant darkness really gets me down. I like long, light evenings. Historical Writers #WritingWithLabradors

12. What is the happiest family scene in your fiction? For my main character John Hamilton it is probably the birth of his daughter Elouise in August 1654. (His previous daughter Grace had been cruelly murdered in the 1641 Irish rebellion). #HistFicXmas

#HistFicXmas D 12 The happiest family scene in my novels is probably when Elizabeth Hardacre is reunited with her younger brother, Edmund. However , it is brought about by a man with whom she has a chequered history, a man who may not be what he seems. smharrisonwriter.com

I am thrilled to be able to announce that the film rights to my debut novel, The Muziris Empire have been acquired. The vision of Daljit, Samir and Mo for this project is breathtaking and I can’t wait to see Harveen on the big screen! Action Adventure Novel ‘The Muziris Empire’
