An amendment requiring FBI to get a warrant before searching Americans’ private communications under FISA 702 just failed in the House — on a tie vote of 212 to 212.

Literally every member of the House who opposed that amendment made the difference between failure and passage.

My team and I were searching for this story all morning and finally found it. It's been memory-holed unless you know the exact number of times the FBI abused FISA in 2021: 278,000 times.
