Anglesey Ice Cream……

In Year 1, we created our own doll houses. We had to think about the interior and exterior of our own houses and how we could make miniature versions of everything.

Year 2 had their DT day last week. Before we started building we completed an investigation on how air can produce movement. To do this we used different types of pumps and our own breath through a straw to see what we could move. We then created our own moving monsters.

We were so busy we didn’t manage to get many pictures but yesterday Year 4 had their DT day. They all built their own light house out of different materials and even managed to get some of them to actually light up with our knowledge of electrical circuits.

Key Stage 2 were involved in a sports session last week where some of them played in a rounders tournament against other fantastic schools. Co-op Academy Hillside did a phenomenal job! Well done everyone. There were trophies and personal medals for some of the players!

Year 2 we’re showing some fabulous shapes during our PE lesson yesterday. Really impressed with how well they all did.

Year 2 have enjoyed learning about Katarina Johnson-Thompson today. We loved looking at such a wonderful role-model from the world of sport. She is resilient, determined, inspirational and dedicated. WOW! We created this display board celebrating her achievements. #Y2 #TeamGB

As part of our science topic materials, Y2 designed and built bridges. We considered the properties of each material such as: strength, rigidity etc. They needed to be strong enough to hold a Landspeeder. They were all fabulous - I was so impressed.

What a ‘Magical Mystery Tour’ we had today around Liverpool. We visited The Cavern Club and The Beatles Story on what was a really fun trip with Y2. #Y2
