Did you know, woolly mammoths once roamed #Yiewsley? This fossilised tooth, found near Yiewsley, is believed to be from a mammoth. The woolly mammoth looked like a modern elephant and lived during the Ice Age, from about 300,000 to 10,000 years ago. #MuseumMonday

These weighing scales were used to weigh produce in Rumbles, a baker, confectioner, and corn dealer on The Green in #WestDrayton. Shoppers would have watched cereals and flour carefully weighed out before being wrapped and taken home. #MuseumMonday

Otter Dock in Yiewsley was a major canal “arm” for #Yiewsley's brickworks, at over 1800 yards long. Brickmaking thrived along the Grand Junction Canal, which opened in 1794, and often whole families worked in the trade. #ThrowbackThursday
