A Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, will be held at Worcester Cathedral on Sunday 18 September at 4pm, with civic and diocesan representatives in attendance. All are warmly welcome to attend.

The Lord-Lieutenant was delighted to be able to present 3 Worcestershire schools with a birch tree from ‘The Tree of Trees’, the magnificent living installation which stood outside Buckingham Palace during The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee earlier this year. #QueensGreenCanopy 1/2

2/2 The 3 chosen schools were Birchen Coppice Academy in Kidderminster, Woodrow First School in Redditch and Stanley Road Primary School in Worcester. They were also presented with a plaque and an aluminium pot with The Queen’s Royal Cypher used in the installation.

The Lord-Lieutenant is delighted to announce that HM The King has approved the appointment of Mrs Beatrice Grant DL as the next Lord-Lieutenant of Worcestershire. Mrs Grant will be the first woman to hold this position in Worcestershire and will take over the role on 17 March 23.

I was honoured to be presented to HRH The Princess Royal today on the occasion of the official unveiling of the wonderful bronze statue of the Sentry. The statue was sculpted by John McKenna and is a fitting tribute to the soldiers of the Worcestershire Regiment.
