We are having too many conversations with carers about the ill treatment of #peoplewithdementia in care homes & the isolation felt by carers fighting for their loved ones dignity. People are so much more than their #dementia, they are vibrant human beings who deserve respect.

Too much stress impacts negatively on both mental and physical health. At #HMM we aim to combat stress & anxiety. We need to give our brains a rest, to quote: 'Take time to look around - It is too short a day to be closed in. Take time to laugh - It is the music of the soul.'

Alan and his amazing team work their magic once again - we were luckily enough to witness a #loveyourgarden make over for Ann and Mike who live with dementia last year.

Home Instead is one of 50 organisations which has pledged its support for BBC Music Day on September 26th. We know that music brings such joy to people with #dementia and the benefits to health and well-being are far reaching - helping them to reminisce and recall happy memories.
