Been off X/Twitter/whatever for a while (kind of nice!) and wanted to give an update: I’m on medical leave, recovering from heart valve replacement surgery. My long-term prognosis is great. I’m healing, getting stronger. And I’m very eager to get back to work after the holidays!

I’m lucky. I’m young and otherwise healthy with good insurance and great support from family, friends + coworkers. My primary care doctor heard something off during my physical and ordered tests that diagnosed this before it became an emergency.

So: Get your physicals, friends!
