still strumming the guitar loudly , he looks up for a split second and notices chrissy , a grin appearing on his lips. “HEY CHRISSY !!! WHAT DO YA THINK ?!”

“YEAH ?!” shouting over the music before he eventually halts his playing to a stop. he makes his way towards chrissy as he ( carefully ) holds onto his guitar. “i thought i noticed someone watching from the corner of my eye.” he smirks , a small shrug following.

“no need to apologize—you , uh , came to see me ?” he asks curiously , head slightly tilting before a quick chuckle escapes his mouth. “thank you , y’know i could continue playing alllll night , but i don’t think my uncle would wanna receive another noise complaint.”

he’s ( excitedly ) adding a couple new pins onto his vest—all of which are d&d themed !

he turns around upon hearing his name , a small smirk plastered on his lips. “yeah that’s me—what’s up ?!”

“chrissy cunningham ? well yeah—i couldn’t forget !” he pauses for a moment , expression slightly dropping. ”is everything okay ?”

his features saddening , the events of that dreaded night flooding back to him. “i-i don’t know.” eddie looks down , the guilt that he wasn’t able to save her returning in full force. “shit. i-i don’t even know if she could hear me when it all happened. . .”

ringed hands rubbing his face , the man shakes his head causing dark curls to fall in front of his eyes. “y-you wouldn’t believe me if i told you. . .”

the man picks his head up to look back at her , a puzzled expression resting on his features. “y-you do ? because no one else in this damn town thinks so.”

a shaky sigh leaves the male’s mouth before he slightly nods in return. “uh , okay , this probably sounds like a lot but it’s the honest to god truth. you mighttt want to sit down for this. . .”

“you don’t feel good ? what’s wrong ?” tilting his head , a concerned expression forming on his face.

“it was horrible.” eddie mumbles as thinks about that night , ringed fingers beginning to rub his face once again. “i left the room for less than a minute a-and she was just standing there , motionless. i-i tried to wake her up but it was too late. . .” he begins to explain.

“well hey , my uncle wayne has some medicine at our trailer. you can come over if you want , we can put on a movie or something. you’ll feel better in no time !” the man offers with a small shrug—he never minded the company anyway.

“no , of course not ! he practically raised me !” eddie slightly shrugs , a reassuring grin appearing on his lips. “he’s probably at work anyway , so it’ll likely just be us. we’ll have the wholeee place to ourselves !”

“uh , not quite. . .” his dark eyes stare at the ground for a moment , shaking his head as memories from that night flood back to him. “she , uh , she started to levitate in the air. a-and then. . .” he stops himself , choking on his own words.
