For the first time, a randomized controlled trial has been published regarding gender affirming care. The treatment group receiving care saw a 55% reduction in suicidality, compared to 5% of control. I detail the results in my latest article. Subscribe to support my work.

They realized waiting times in some places can be over 3 months, and so they could do a RCT over a short follow up time and still get approved for the study- they could do this ethically. And what they found was stunning. 55% reduction in suicidality, and similar, depression.
