What a kick in the teeth to these local GPs who tried their best to keep the practice going, had to throw in the towel only to see their local commissioners hand the contract over with a huge uplift of funding. Wonder if Wes Streeting MP is aware… pulsetoday.co.uk/news/practice-…
This is upsetting to see Dr Nikita Kanani (she/her) . This isn’t an evidence based intervention. It is profiting on promises that can’t be kept. The reason this stuff isn’t offered in the nhs (beyond standard BP/cholesterol etc) is to do with the lack of evidence for it.
A cache of freedom of information responses on interactions between GMC, HEIW and others regarding Medical Associate Professionals. A vital read that justifies many doctor concerns about this. Diolch to those who did the work. paprojectwatch.wordpress.com/wp-content/upl… Some highlights 🧵 1/
An important update from Anaesthetists United on the PA & AA scandal which raises the important question - where is the GMC getting the money to defend it’s outrageous position - hopefully not doctors fees or taxpayers money from the Government. This is a question that needs answering
Delighted to have been elected Chair of the Health and Social Care Select Committee Health and Social Care Committee. From GPs to dentists, maternity services to mental health there is much to do. The committee has a vital role to play scrutinising govt as it tackles these challenges.
This is the most disturbing matter Royal College of Physicians “had the EGM been held before that point, the concerns raised would have been fed into the parliamentary process and may have affected the passage of the legislation” Was that politically motivated?
