There are no active riverfly monitoring groups in my area. Can I set up my own group? Yes, course! We would love to hear from you if you are interested in setting a new group. Please contact us at [email protected] for more information on how to get started!

Take a look at this clip 👀 The water levels at this site double in around 8hrs. This is exactly how our rivers are meant to act. But, through our NFM projects, we aim is to increase the length of time that these watercourses hold the water and increase the volume too.

We've captured the construction of the new defences near completion in Lower Penwortham as part of the #Preston & #SouthRibble Flood Risk Management Scheme. Once complete, thousands of local homes and businesses will have a reduced risk of flooding. The Flood Hub

If you’re interested to find highways outfalls that are polluting your local river, now is the time 🕰️ This outfall will be hidden in the undergrowth in a few weeks, but by locating it now, I’ve given myself the best chance of finding it again in the rain ☔️ in the Spring 👍🏻

Team Tawd and Ranger Chris kicked off their first session of the year with an impressive display of teamwork. Starting at the Beacon to load gravel into a trailer to then head down to the valley to repair the pathways damaged by recent severe rainstorms.

Brown trout are unlikely to survive in most English rivers at the height of summer by 2080, FFS. New ⁦Environment Agency⁩ temperature projections for English rivers predict summer temps too high for trout to feed & grow, winter temps too high for eggs. theguardian.com/environment/20…
