I'm ashamed of my age group. Why does a majority of over 65s think it's fair for people of working age to pay, but not them?

All true. But across the country, we're waiting for you to say the two words that count: Wealth Tax. It's now or never Keir. This is your chance to show you stand for something.

UPDATE: 'Soft left' NEC member Ann Black has added her signature to a letter raising concerns over the way the ban on groups is being implemented by the party: labourlist.org/2021/09/labour…

Yes, it felt as if the Labour MP was hamstrung by instructions not to put forward an alternative. And of course the other panellists seized on this and pressed her. Why can't the party see how this comes over?

A heat pump in a poorly insulated home just won't work. It’s like buying a teapot with cracks in it: leaky, inefficient and a waste of money. We need joined-up action on climate change & a *comprehensive*, well-funded home insulation scheme - not token gestures

The government's manifesto says that "making sure every vote counts the same [is] a cornerstone of democracy" If that's true then why is a vote for Conservatives 22 times more effective than a vote for the The Green Party? #ChangeTheVotingSystem

The Government: “Test and trace is so important for reducing transmission that if you don’t isolate when infectious we will fine you £10,000.” Also the Government: “43,000 people not isolating when positive (after false negative results) had no impact on transmission” Go figure

I defy anyone to look at @marcdavenant's extraordinary photo of Richard Ratcliffe outside the Foreign Office today - day 18 of his hunger strike - and not be filled with rage & sadness. Where are you, @borisjohnson? How dare you fail to stop this? Free Nazanin #FreeNazanin

Wasn't he PM when she was sacked in his reshuffle? Why does he think he sacked her? If it was for something else, why didn't he tell her when she met him at the time? None of this makes sense.

Is this going to be corrected on air? Unfortunately it reinforces inaccurate and prejudical views about asylum seekers that we could do without.

Helen Coll (@helencoll) 's Twitter Profile Photo

So let them work while their applications for asylum are being processed and deal with the backlog in applications. They don't want to be stuck in hotels!

Helen Coll (@helencoll) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Can you explain why you're calling these people illegal migrants? As long as they claim asylum as soon as possible after arrival, they're asylum seekers. Seeking asylum is legal!

The "state" (i.e. government) gives not a jot about music education in state schools. As long as private schools can provide its musical servants for state occasions it will be content. There. I've said it.

Tories say they have closed 50 Asylum Hotels to save money Sky News finds they've simply moved people from one hotel to another.....so another "lie" then?

Saddened to hear of the death of Robert Bunting, one of the great music education thinkers of the 70s and 80s. His BJME case studies remain significant documents.
