Unpopular opinion🚨 Half of the PlantBio folks flew to Hawaii for #PlantBio2024 ASPB and the other half flew to Australia for IPMB2024. Some fly from Hawaii to AUS to make both meetings. International in-person meetings are important but can we coordinate them geographically?

I recently attended Nick Desnoyer ‘s PhD defense and was absolutely mind blown.Incredible imaging and answering “THE” key questions that we all discussed during my PhD time:how does the pollen tube enter the synergid cell and what is the role of the filiform apparatus? Just wow!
