I hate how cliche it is but one of the most powerful alchemical tools we have available to us as humans really is gratitude. Placing attention on the here-ness and the goodness of things transforms them/us so viscerally it's a bit insane.

This is pretty funny & accurate but also points to an area where psychology needs to be more infused into education. I.e. My guess is that dysregulation/triggers precedes poor reading comprehension in this area more often than not. It’s not solely that people lack comprehension.

One of the things that feels truly spiritual/otherworldly to me is the massive burst of creative energy that gets unleashed every time I finally align with a really hard truth I’ve been avoiding. In my life, creativity and truth seem to be one and the same entity.

Playing with the idea that self-hatred can be an offbeat form of self-love at times. I.e. Our inner children need a safe person to rail against when the world feels unfair & the adult self can be a secure outlet for that if we learn to hold their outrage loosely/with forgiveness.

Once when I had a super jarring/unexpected breakup, a particular friend just came over (or found something for us to do together) every day for the 2 weeks following. She didn't ask if I needed that. She just assumed & kept showing up.
I was so raw & it felt tremendously loving.

One of my opinions is that people don't trap themselves in their own psychology enough. Like oh, I am highly productive as a coping mechanism & therefore never adequately process loss? Let me set a lofty goal that I *have* to tap into grief to achieve. We love a good system hack.

The cost of intimacy is disenchantment (with whichever ideals you were holding about yourself and the other).

The reward of intimacy is a new sense of enchantment with the raw, gritty core of the human experience (and its inherent tenacity).

Perpetually annoyed that one must go through the phase of β€˜not knowing what comes next’ in order to discover what comes next.

Even more annoyed to routinely discover that this is the only way to live a life that is meaningful or true.

Me with 30 seconds to live and a broadcast to all of mankind: Did you guys know you can buy 'everything bagel' spice at the store and put it directly onto an avocado

Anyway, my projection onto TTPD is that it’s not a sad album, it’s a depression album (VERY different).

It’s about holding a trump card you’re too afraid to play & then finally playing it and realizing it does not end the game. Which causes a collapse in your systems of meaning.

This channel has been a blessing. Honestly, from understanding myself, to learning techniques and changing my perspective, it's just the start, but I know I'm in the right path. Thank you. Anyone dealing with anything in life right now should check her youtube. Heidi Priebe 🌱🌹
