This morning we held a community cycle around Stroud Green, London, N4. Despite the damp day it was a joy to see children developing their confidence in cycling on the road. We set off from Finsbury Park. Our marshals did a great job in keeping us safe. 🚲 🌎🧵1/5

Low traffic streets work for the young and old.

🚗 In March, we issued 212 late-night parking fines for cars parked where they shouldn't be. 🚫 This behaviour will not be tolerated in #Haringey. We are working hard to cover more areas to reduce anti-social and dangerous parking. #VisionZeroLDN

For five years residents in St Ann’s Ward campaigned for this scheme. A ward which had seven schools and was drowning in through traffic - has been transformed. Haringey Council needs to do more, not less on healthy streets. Please take 5mins to give the scheme your support! 🙏

Impressive stats from the Haringey LTNs 💚

Great to see the results of the monitoring reports published and good news for reductions in traffic and increase in numbers of people cycling, as well as increases in footfall and in-store spend locally.

Some incredible leadership from Haringey Council on healthy streets tonight! Congratulations to Peray Ahmet and Mike Hakata for your delivery of bold schemes to support walking, cycling, and wheeling.

As we move into the next chapter of Haringey's LTNs, Cllr Mike Hakata highlights their positive impact. 🌳 The Bounds Green, St Ann's, and Bruce Grove West Green LTNs were given the green light to continue. Let's keep working together for a fairer, greener borough.
