One piece of news to look out for - an mRNA vaccine for melanoma skin cancer has begun phase III trials. This could be the first of many cancer vaccines, and we look forward to see how the trials develop.

For people with early stage melanoma, a study found that if the levels of AMBRA1 and loricrin proteins in the skin overlying a melanoma are equivalent to normal skin, then the chances of cancer spreading are significantly reduced.
