Halloween movie: If you like D&D with a heavy Viking theme and Stephen King novels check out The Headhunter on Amazon etc. An indie film which I think is really well done with a horror theme, not a lot of dialogue on purpose gives it a very secluded feel to it. The Head Hunter

The Head Hunter is the first fantasy movie i’ve seen in ages that blew me away. best way i can describe it is that it’s what would happen if Cormac McCarthy wrote a short horror story that took place in Middle Earth. it’s an extreme slow burn, but i was locked in the entire time.

THE HEAD HUNTER is the horror/fantasy bastard child of The Evil Dead and The Witcher. A tight script and visual restraint make this an inspiring, well-crafted, shoestring indie that hits its mark. Streaming now on Shudder, and it has my full recommendation.
