The term “Warm-Up Theft” is a widely used term among car thieves to describe the stealing of a car that has been left running and unattended to “warm-up.” Don't leave your car unattended, or you may be left out in the cold!

Hazelwood Police Chief Gregg Hall spoke to a group of senior adults called Hazelnuts. He told them the most important safety tip is to be aware of your surroundings at all times. This means going from your car to home and vice versa. If you see anything suspicious, call police.
