📢Myth busting new #CRPS paper challenges🧐 assumption that those with early #CRPS have better rehab outcomes 📢 Our RUH Bath 🏥 clinical data proved they don't👈🏾 In fact people with CRPS => 1 year do just as well & sustain those improvements once home🏠
Credible explanations - how do we explain to adolescents why they are in pain? It is a complex task and may have something to do with diagnostic uncertainty...🧵 Just published in EJP: onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.10… Michael Rathleff Malene Kjær Bruun Henrik Riel Morten Hoegh, PhD Ben Darlow European Pain Federation EFIC®
Not one, but *two* RCTs of novel behavioural #pain interventions for #adolescents in this month's PAIN Journal 🤩. Great to see these from Laura Simons Rikard Wicksell & Dr. Tonya Palermo Dr. Jennifer Stinson teams. Looking forward to even more progress in paediatric pain in 2024!
Very grateful to receive this grant from HDA - Healthy Development Adelaide to visit schools in South Australia to discuss the science of pain!
We asked people with chronic #pelvic #pain what they valued learning about their pain. Their four major responses are described in this paper, and in lead author Millie Mardon thread below. Paper now in PAIN Journal doi.org/10.1097/j.pain…
Huge congratulations Millie Mardon on successfully defending her PhD with flying colours! What a delight to co-supervise your journey Mil 👏 Be sure to follow Millie Mardon to see her important #pelvic #pain research!
