We're all in the Christmas spirit! Although being in Tier 3 means the house can't open, there's plenty of decorations and festive feeling to get involved with around the estate. Why not send a photo postcard from our giant wreath? We'd love to see your snaps.

#OnThisDay in 1864, the Clifton Suspension Bridge opened, taking 33 years to complete. Brunel’s design for the bridge was chosen through a competition in 1830. He was very attached to the project, describing it as 'my first child, my darling.' See more: bit.ly/2VSMQs4

Could it be the buttresses of York? Or the grotesques of Notre Dame? No, it's the walls of Tyntesfield (and in Somerset we call them Hunky Punks, not gargoyles or grotesques).

We know you're probably all missing your usual festive visits to the house, and we're very much missing welcoming you all through the doors, but we thought you might enjoy seeing some of the decorations of Christmas past. #NationalTrust #TyntesfieldNT
