⚠️TRAFFIC ALERT: Drivers use caution traveling on Highway 49 (northbound) just before the U.S. 98 East exit. Traffic is currently blocked while emergency crews work the scene of a single-vehicle crash with injuries. Please use caution in the area.

TRAFFIC ALERT: Use caution at the intersection of U.S. 98-Hegwood Road / U.S. 98 & Jackson Road, while modifications are done to the traffic signals. We have multiple officers at the intersection helping direct traffic while modifications are being made. Drive safely.

We now have a more honed in forecast for the possible severe storms Sunday. It is likely to be more severe in areas south and east and primary threats look to be strong winds and large hail, however a tornado cannot be ruled out. Stay tuned for future updates.

Strong winds are expected this afternoon into this evening before thunderstorms move into the forecast area. For areas mainly north of I-20, sustained winds of 20-25 mph and gusts over 40 mph can be expected. Wind gusts over 30 mph will be possible for areas south of I-20
