On Thursday the 300-year-old Hunningham Oak near Leamington was felled for HS2. It’s not even on the main rail-route—it was chainsawed for a service road. This oak began its life around the time Daniel Defoe published Journal of a Plague Year. leamingtoncourier.co.uk/news/environme…
