✨ Through the teachings of the drum by MTMS Indigenous Advocate Mr. Whitestar, students are discovering the values of love, humility, respect, courage, wisdom, and truth. 🥁💙 The drum, known as the heartbeat of Mother Earth, serves as a tool for healing and connection.

🦬 We are grateful to Buffalo People Arts Institute for connecting us with the buffalo this week. ✨ Through scraping the hide and the teachings shared, students and guests learned traditional knowledge while building kinship and community.

🧡 Step by step we continue to climb the mountain of #TruthAndReconciliation Our journey this month included land-based teachings, scraping buffalo hide, drumming, beading & learning traditional knowledge. 💙 Together, we will continue to love one another & help one another.
