Today we learned about local Black History and took our team of Harshman Magnet MS 7th graders to visit the CrispusAttucksMuseum and we watched the PBS documentary. What an incredible and important part of the history of Indianapolis. Thank you for preserving it IPS.

We are so grateful to our community partners D.R.E.A.M. Alive Inc and @BFLCenter for providing transportation for our field trip. Our Team Butler 7th graders had a great time visiting NCAA Hall of Champions.

Local author Maurice Broaddus is coming to Harshman in May. One of our 7th grade teams has been reading his novel The Usual Suspects and our book clubs are reading Unfadeable.

Harshman is now a Project Lead The Way Distinguished School! We are so proud of the hard work our PLTW teachers have done to get there. Thank you Kathy Heimansohn and Ms. Wilcher.

Congrats to our Teacher Ambassador Ella Hereth on being named 1 of the 5 finalists for IPS Teacher of the Year Award! Ms. Hereth teaches avanced math at Harshman Middle School. The winner will be announced next week during #TeacherAppreciationWeek. #ProvingWhatsPossible
