All park facilities in historic Lower Town will be CLOSED on Monday, May 12, due to scheduled repairs to Harpers Ferry's municipal water system. There will be no access to water or restrooms in Lower Town. All outdoor areas and the Visitor Center restrooms will remain open.

The Potomac River is predicted to crest at minor flooding level in Harpers Ferry on the morning of 5/15/25. Please obey all temporary closures and do not cross high water, either on foot or in a vehicle. Closures are likely to include the Goodloe Byron Memorial Footbridge.

5/16/25 flood update: UPDATE 5/16/25: Waters have receded enough to reopen the Byron Bridge. Other low-lying areas of the park are still flooded, so please use caution. Keep all pets on leashes and family members out of the water for their safety.
