It was a pleasure to welcome students from Highfield Primary School this morning for a science lesson. Students were very impressive at solving a crime using forensic science by conducting flame tests. Well done! Harper Green School Highfield Bolton 🌈
Thank you Harper Green Science for hosting our first Highfield Bolton 🌈 Year 6 science session.#communitymatters #outreach #weareharper Harper Green School Leverhulme Trust
Well done to our latest Scientists of the Week! Superb engagement, resiliance and effort! Harper Green School
Mr Towey showed students how to perform the ‘Pharaoh’s Serpent’ experiment at Science Club this evening. The experiment is an example of thermal decomposition and is exothermic (energy is released). Well done everyone! Harper Green School

Thank you to Highfield Primary School for visiting us this morning. It was a pleasure to teach some more of your wonderful students forensic science! Highfield Bolton 🌈 Harper Green School
Some fantastic work from opposite ends of the age range in science today. Mr Eaton’s Y11 Physics class were engrossed as he demonstrated Newton’s Second Law of Motion. Whilst Miss Iqbal’s Y7 class skillfully investigated the density of objects! Harper Green School
Well done to Hooria in Y11 for being one of our Scientists of the Week! Hooria works really hard in lessons, attends above and beyond and always does her independent study. Well done Hooria! Harper Green School
Students enjoyed Science Club tonight with Miss Hussain. They took advance of the flammability of methane gas with fiery results! Well done everyone who took part! Harper Green School
More action shots and video from tonight’s Science Club! Harper Green School
Well done to our latest Scientists of the week! Great to see lots of Y11s on the list as they prepare for their upcoming PPEs! Harper Green School
In Science today, students were investigating the force of friction on different surfaces using Newton meters. 7D have had an amazing first half term Harper Green School Well done to you all and enjoy the half term break. 🧑🏻🔬👩🏽🔬
Our Science Clubbers made lava lamps with Mrs Iqbal last night from coloured water, salt and oil. Well done to everyone! Harper Green School
Well done to our latest Scientists of the Week! Brilliant work in lessons and at home! Keep it up! Harper Green School

Mr Connor’s Plant Club continues to grow from strength to strength. The students have started growing tomatoes and peppers from seeds as well as Mother of Thousands plants. They are excited to soon plant them outdoors in the school ‘garden’! Harper Green School
Mr Connor’s Plant club transferred their tomato plants from the seed trays to plant pots this week! The students are very excited to see them grow. Harper Green School
A fantastic Science Club tonight with Mr Robinson! Students made mini exploding rockets by harnessing the pressure of the gas produced when bicarbonate of soda reacted with ethanoic acid in little canisters! Harper Green School
Here’s a couple of rockets exploding into orbit in real time and slo-mo wait for it)! Harper Green School
