Excited to have this one out! Read more about how innate and adaptive immunity are involved in Parkinson’s disease and how targeting both local and systemic inflammation will be a potential therapeutic approach in our review with @MaluTansey science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…

By comparing the brains of patients with mild motor deficits ± nigral synucleinopathy, and patients with PD, Chu et al. find that initiation of nigrostriatal DAergic neurodegeneration occurs independently of alpha-syn aggregation and can be tau mediated. tinyurl.com/mvmk6ej6

Congrats to grad student Nicole J. Corbin-Stein on having this story out!! In this paper we show that IFNgamma contributes to pathology in a model of MSA. actaneurocomms.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.11…

Yesterday I successful defended my thesis! Thank you to everyone to helped me get to this point. Harms Lab thanks for being the best co-workers a girl could ask for. Looking forward to continuing my scientific journey with Le Zhang at Yale this Fall 😊
